My understanding of the UMUC plagiarism policy is that I must not copy any author’s work in verbatim without putting quotes before and after the copied phrase/sentence. I also need to cite an in-text citation reference at the end of the verbatim phrase or sentence of another author. There must be an end-text citation. I must not copy my own past work and present it in any of my present assignments for UMUC. Otherwise, I would be accused of self-plagiarism. I must not copy any author’s ideas by presenting the ideas sequentially or in any other manner. I must ensure that I paraphrase and cite sources for ideas which I might have got inspired from.
